First annual grilo’s bike day

Grilo was a professional snowboarder based in Slovenia. Sponsored by Burton snowboards for more than 20 years and supported by brands such as GoPro, BMW, and Absolut Park, Grilo was one of the most recognised snowboarders worldwide and a true legend of the sport.

From Air&Style win and Xgames podiums, renowned movies, world titles, and covers in magazines, to a documentary about his life called the Grilomentary, all the way to creating his own web series The Grilosodes, it is hard to find something Grilo has not done within the sport.

In the last years, he shifted his focus to spending more time with his family and started documenting his snowboarding, biking, skateboarding, and surfing endeavors, alongside his kids Maxx and Emma and wife Nina.

He quickly became an inspiration and the name behind family snowboarding as well as a synonym for rad dads and families, who wanted to include their kids in their daily outdoor adventures. The one place where you would find Grilo when he was off his snowboard the most, was on his bike.

That’s why I feel it is only right to show love and remember him with a first-ever Grilo’s Bike day.
